An Ordinance submitting the question of the electors of the City of Euge ~ and to the electors of the territory hereinafter described, the question "For Annexation or "Against Annexation" of sueh_ area and ordering a special election to be held in such areas and in the City of Eugene on the 20th day of December 1944 designating polling places, appointing fudges and clerks of election and all necessary dots for the carrying on of said election,. and declaring an i emergency. ~ THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section ~.: That the Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby submits to the electors of the City of Eugene and to the electors of the following described area, to-wit: Beginning at the southwest corner of the City limits of Eugene, Lane i County, Oregon, being the intersection of the center lime of Chambers -street and the south line of Fifteenth Avenue West, running thence east 30 feet to the East lime of Chambers street, thence south 490 feet, thence east 62 feet, thence south 3040 feet to the southwest corner of the Municipal Airport, thence east 1705 feet to the south- ; east corner of said airport, thence south 220feet tQ the south line of the North half of Section One, Township 18 south Range 4 West, Willamette Meridian, thence west along said south line to the west line of Chambers Street, thence north along the west line of Chambers Street, to.the south line of~Lot Thi"rty, Prospect Park, thence U1est along the south line of Lot 30 and-Lot 29, and the South line of said lots if prodmced west, to the west line of section One, Town- i ship 18 South of Range 4 west of the Willamette Meridian; thence north along the west line of said Section l:~and of Section 36, Township 17 South range 4 West, Willamette Meridian, to the northwest corner of said Section 36, thence East along the North line of Section 36 } to the southerly line of the Oregon Electric Railway Co. right of way, thence Easterly along the said right of way and the south line of 5th avenue west to the present West line of the City limits, and thence South along the City limit line to the place of beginning. for question "for Aruiexation" or "Against Annexation" of such territory to the City of Eugene. Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene also submits to the electors of the city of Eugene the questions "For Annexation" or "Against Annexation" of the following described area, which is what is known as the old City Airport and which will be voted upon in the City but not voted on irk the Airport area, as the City itself is the owner of the Airport area, t wit: Beginning 30 feet East of Southwest corner of the present City limits of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon; being the center lime of Chambers St. and the south line of 15th avenue West, running thence East 903 feet to the East line of the Municipal Airport of Eugene, thence south 520 feet to the south line of Donation Land Claim No. 37, thence west 83.3 feet, thence south 530 feet to the center line of 18th avenue West if extended, thence 571 feet to the 1P~est line of Polk street, thence south 20 feet thence East along the south line of 18th avene west 378 feet to the East line of the Municipal Airport, thence south 2457 feet to the South east corner of said airport, thence avast 1705 feet to the Southwest corner of said airport, thence north 3040 feet to a point 30 Peet north of the south line of Donation Land claim No. 37, thence west 62 feet, and thence north to the place of beginning. i~
