I <br />3~0 <br />said petition, together with any objsetion or remonstrances which may be made in writing <br />and filed with the City Recorder prior tc the date of said hearing will be heard and <br />considered. <br />Section 1.~.. The, City Recorder shall forthwith and within five days after the <br />first publication of said notice, post or cause to be posted at or rear each end of said <br />vacation, a copy of the foregoing notice, which shall be headed "Notice of Alley and <br />Street Vacation", and which notice shall be posted in at least two conspicuous places <br />in such proposed vacation area. <br />The posting and the first day of publication of such notice shall not be less <br />than twenty-eight days before the time set for hoaring. <br />Section 5. Whereas it is necessary for the safety of the student body of the <br />Eugene public schgol that these vacation shall be made, and <br />Vuhereas, the work of improving the sohool property is about to be advanced, and <br />it is r_ecessary that the streets be closed at once, an emergency is hereby declared to <br />exist and it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety <br />of the City of Eugene that this ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage by <br />the Common Council and its apprcval by ;;'_:c ::aycr, and it is so ordered. <br />Passed by the Common Couneil <br />this 13th day of Augus t, 1~5. <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />lt.~th day of August, 1945• <br />~s~ John Fields, City Recorder <br />~s~ Earl L.
