<br />4 ~ '~ <br />- -- <br />Section 1~. The Common Council does hereby designate as the polling places <br /> <br />for said election in the-City of Eugene the same precinct polling places at which <br />the General State Primary Election shall be held and the Common Council does hereby <br />appoint the Hudges and Clerks to serve in each of said polling places as designated <br />to serve in the General State Primar~~ Election held concurrently with this Special <br />City Election.. <br />Section 5. The polls shall be opened in aach of said voting wards at <br />eight of clock P.M. on said election day. <br />Section 6. The Judge of said State Election acting as Chairman of the <br />i~oard ir. t::e City Election, and the ballots cast at said election shall be counted, <br />tabulated and returned to the City Recorder as provided by law. <br />Section 7. WHEREAS, The City fiscal ~e ar commences on July 1, 146, and the <br />various items of expenditure are to be prepared prior to that time and it is contemplat-- <br />ed that tho expenditures provided for in these measures shall be before the Budget <br />committee and assessments: made based upon the City Budget. <br />THEREFORE, An emergency is hereby declared to exist and it. is hereby declared <br />to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health ar,d safety of the <br />City of Eugene that this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by <br />the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />Passed by the Common Council <br />this 11th day of March 19i~6. <br />John Fields <br />~~Recorder. <br />Approved by the R4ayor this <br />12th day of March ,1Q1+6. <br />~~.
