<br />of the City of Elzgene for the letting of contracts far the construction <br />of sewers. <br />Section 3. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene dose <br />hereby declare that the bids shall be advertised for separately for each of <br />the streets set out here3.n, and that bids shall be invited for each separate <br />street and for the entire group, and that the oontract for the construction <br />of said sewers shall be let in one contract for all of them or in separate <br />contracts for one or more of them as the council shall deem best and the <br />City Recorder is hereby directed to state in the notice to the contractors and <br />property owners that the contract for the improvement shall be let either <br />as separate contraots for one or more of the sewers herein set out, or in <br />one contract for the group. <br />Section I~. That the work on said improvement shall commence within <br />ten days after the letting of the contraot or contracts and shall be completed <br />within thirty days thereafter. <br />Seotion 5. The bidder receiving the contract for said improvement <br />shall execute a good and sufficient bond with one er more sureties to be <br />approved by the Street Committee in the sum of eighty per Dent (SO/) oP <br />the oontract prise, for the faithful performance of the aontraat. <br />Section 6. Ea.oh per3on, firm, company or corporation bidding <br />upon said improvement shall accompany his bid with a certified check in the <br />sum of 5 per cent of the amount bid as evidence of good faith and to guarantee <br />the entering into a oontract in accordanoe with the bid submitted by him and <br />the execution of the bond herein provided for. <br />Seotion 7.
