~4 <br />f <br />Section 2. That said proposed amendments to the Charter of the City of Eugene shall <br />be placed upon the official ballot by the City Recorder to be voted upon by the electors <br />of the said. City at said election. <br />~Se'ction 3. The City Recorder shall provide such poll books, ballot boxes, tally <br />' sheets., and such other supplies for each precinct as are necessary for the carrying on of the <br />i <br />election, which shall be delivered to the election board. <br />I <br />~ Section ~-. The Common Council hereby orders that said election shall be held <br />i <br />I concurrently ~,rith the State General Primary Nominating election, and hereby desig- <br />Hates as the polling places for said election in the City of Eugene, the polling places <br />established and designated for the State General Primary Nominating election, and the <br />~I _ Common Council does hereby appoint the judges and Clerks appointed to serve at said <br />general election, to serve in each of said polling places for the City election. <br />Section 5. T;~e polls shall be opened in each of said voting precincts at eight <br />i <br />o~cloek A.M., and sha7.1 be kept open until eight o~clock P.M. on said election day. <br />Section 6. The judge acting as chairman of the election Board in the general <br />I <br />state election, sha7.1 be chairman of the same Board of which he is a mem'~er in the <br />City election and the ballots shall be counted, tabulated, and returned to-the City <br />i Recorder as provided by law. <br />I <br />Section 7. Whereas, it is necess=,ry that in preparing plans, estimates and <br />arrangements ~,~ith the United States Army Engineers that said Army Engineers be de- <br />t <br />finitely aseurred that an election is to be held upon certain of the measures herein <br />i <br />~ set forth, and <br />Whereas it is necessary for the City Recorder of the City of Eugene to prepare <br />a large amount of material prior to the election. <br />It is therefore declared that an emergency exists, and it i~ hereby declared to <br />be necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of the <br />City of Eugene, that this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by <br />the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />~ Passed by the Common Council <br />1 <br />this 2iFth~ day of February, 1QL8. <br />/s/ Henry F.
