That the City Recorder be, and ho is hereby, instructed to give notice to ~ <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />j .contractors and property owners as provided in Sections 52, 53, 5lt, K5, ~6, ~6B and 57 of the ; I <br />1 <br /> <br />Charter of the City of Eugene, inviting bids for the construction of said sevrers as pre- i`` <br />I I <br /> <br />l <br />scribed in and in conformity to sa~_d plans and specifications. <br />~ <br />I Section 3. That the Common Council declared that the said construction and the whole ~ ~ <br />~ i <br />thereof shall be let as one contract and the City Recorder is directed to state in the <br />} ~ <br /> <br />{ <br />l <br />~ <br />notice to contractors ar~d property ovrners that said contract will he let in one contract, ~ i <br />, <br /> <br />and to also state therein the time and place when and where bids for the construction of ~ { <br />l <br />i said sevrers vrill be opened and cons idered b y the Common Council, and that at such time and j l <br />place property owners may file remonstrances a;ainst letting said contract. <br /> <br />I <br />Section !~. That the party vrhose bi.d is accepted for said construct-~on sign a contract <br />' <br />j <br />for said work within ten days from the time of the receipt by Yiim o_f the notification of ` <br />i <br />the acceptance of his bid, and the vrork thereon shall be commenced vrithin ten days after the <br />{ letting of said contract, and shall be cccnpleted vrithin sixty days thereGfter, unless a.n ~ ~ <br />i extension of the time therefor be granted htT the Common Council. The part~r whose bid is ac- ~ <br />I ~ <br /> <br />E cepted shall. also execute and deliver to the city a good and sufficient bond, with one or ~ <br />more sureties to be approved by the F ublic i7orks Committee of the City, in an amount equal to <br />i <br />` <br />! <br />eighty per cent of his contract, price, as security for the faithful and satisfactory ful- ~II <br />~ <br />l <br />fillment of his contract. ~ <br />~ ` <br />i <br />Section 5.
