THE CITY OF EUGEr1E DOES ORD~!IN AS FOLL0~15: That a certain document, three (3) copies which are on file in the off"ice of the City Recorder, of +.he Cii,y of Eugene, being marked and designated as Suggested Fire Prevention Ordinance, edition of 1917, recommended and published by the National Board of Fire LTnder- vrriters, be, and the same i_s hereby referred to and adopted as the Fire Prevention Ordinance of the City of Eug~e, a.nd by said reference and adoption, made a part of this ordinance, the same as i.f it vras fu7_ly set forth herein, provided, Certain sections of said Suggested. Fire Pr~;vention Ordinance as adopted by t.hi.s ordin- ante are hereby amended as follows, to-~°r! t: Part 1 erection 12 Secti on 123 i_s amended by adding to the end of this section the following: l~11 appli- cations for pe rmits required by this ordinance s}~ucll he made to the Bureau of Firms Preventi on in such form. and accompanied by a regulatory fee of $1.50. Part 2 Section 209 Section 209 is amended b;;r deleting the first sentence . Part 8 Section 802 Section 802 is ~;merded by inserting the following at t}lo beginning of the Section: (a) The use, storage and handling of compressed or. liquified petroleum and other gases, except acetylene, is prohibited in Fire lone l., of the Cite of Eugene. (b) The Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, concurred in by the Chief of the Fire Departmer_t, may prohibit the use of liquified petroleum or other flammable gasses ~.~}ien in their opinion it would create a hazard or increase an ex_istin~; hazard in Fire Lones 2 and 3 of the City of Eugore.
