The erosion ordinance has not been updated since its original adoption in <br />1996. The City is currently on the 4 th iteration of federal and state stormwater permits and the <br />industry practice has evolved since the original ordinance was adopted. Proposed changes to the <br />erosion and sediment control ordinance are intended to address current stormwater permit <br />requirements, address problematic unregulated construction sites and reflect current industry <br />practice. <br />A summary of the proposed amendments and draft code language are provided as attachments A <br />and B, respectively. <br /> <br />Staff engaged regulatory agencies, regulated sectors of our community and design professionals <br />early in the process to gather feedback and discuss additional regulations. <br /> <br />A public hearing on the draft ordinance was held on November 28, 2016.
