We recommend deleting Policy 6. Policy 7 tells local governments to develop a <br /> list of experts to identify and evaluate archeological sites. The Oregon State <br /> Historic Preservation Office already provides this service, removing the onus from <br /> the local jurisdictions. We recommend deleting Policy 7. Policy 8 is specific to <br /> seeking grants for archeology. The suggested change is worded to seek funding <br /> for "historically significant" sites, which would be inclusive of archeology, should <br /> the need arise. <br /> <br /> Exhibit B: Metro Plan Chapter III-C: Environmental Resources Element <br /> <br /> The following changes are reflected in Exhibit B: Environmental Resources Element, <br /> attached: <br /> <br /> · Change the proposed revisions to existing finding 31 (new finding 21 on page 21 <br /> of Exhibit B) to reflect updated data. The revised finding would read as follows: <br /> <br /> 21. Lane County recognizes ORS 215.253 shall apply on land zoned <br /> EFU and Marginal Lands. <br /> <br /> Exhibit C: Metro Plan Diagram~ March 2, 2004 <br /> <br /> The following changes are reflected in Exhibit C: Metro Plan Diagram, attached.
