<br />recognizes that a performing arts center can only be successful if the schedule of attractions and <br />productions presented is balanced and includes quality presentations of all forms and genres of the <br />performing arts. It may be necessary to negotiate dates being held by a resident company in the <br />event that a week-long popular entertainment opportunity arises. <br /> <br />6. All initial applications for residency status shall be submitted to the Center, with substantiating <br />documents on or before an annual date to be established by the City's Cultural Services Division. <br />Upon receipt of a complete application, Center staff will review the application for compliance with <br />this policy and other adopted policies applicable to the Center and the City, and forward a <br />recommendation to the City Manager for final approval. <br /> <br />7. Status as a resident company commences on July 1, and continues to June 30 of the following year. <br />Thereafter, all approved resident companies will be reviewed annually by Center staff for <br />compliance with this policy at which time the companies will provide an annual report. Resident <br />company status shall continue uninterrupted so long as the resident company remains in compliance <br />with the criteria listed above. <br /> <br />8. Upon finding exception with applicable criteria, Center staff shall notify the City Manager and the <br />resident company of its non-compliance and potential change in status. In the event the Center's staff <br />determines that a resident company is no longer qualified for such status, it shall request the City <br />Manager to withdraw approval. The City Manager shall review the staff recommendation and any <br />submissions received from the resident company. Upon finding the resident company has failed to <br />fulfill the requirements to maintain residency status the City Manager shall withdraw its recognition <br />as an approved resident company. <br /> <br />Exhibit B-3 <br />
