<br />490 Racquet/Handball Sports Facility <br />RacqueUhandball sports facilities may be either publically or privately owned and include indoor <br />and/or outdoor facilities specifically designed for racquet and handball sports. Other facilities <br />may include swimming pools and whirlpools, saunas, exercise classes, and weightlifting <br />equipment. [Combines /TE use codes 491 tennis courts and 492 racquet c/ub.] <br /> <br />493 Health Club <br />Health clubs are privately owned facilities that may include swimming pools, whirlpools, saunas, <br />tennis, racquet ball, and handball courts, exercise classes, weightlifting and gymnastics <br />equipment, locker rooms, and a restaurant or snack bar. <br /> <br />494 Bowling Alley <br />Bowling alleys are recreational facilities that include bowling lanes. A small lounge, restaurant <br />and/or snack bar, video games, and pool tables may also be available. <br /> <br />495 Recreational Community Center <br />Recreational community centers are facilities similar to and including YMCAs, often including <br />classes and clubs for adults and children; a day care or a nursery school; meeting rooms; <br />swimming pools and whirlpools; saunas; tennis, racquetball, and handball courts; exercise <br />classes; weightlifting and gymnastics equipment; locker rooms; and a restaurant or snack bar. <br /> <br />520 Elementary School <br />Elementary schools typically serve students attending kindergarten through the fifth or sixth <br />grade. Elementary schools are usually centrally located in residential communities in order to <br />facilitate student access, and they have no student drivers. This use category consists of public <br />schools where bus service is usually provided to students living beyond a specified distance <br />from the school. <br /> <br />521 Private School (K-12) <br />Private schools in this category serve students attending kindergarten through the twelfth <br />grade. Students may travel a long distance to get to private schools. <br /> <br />522 Middle School/Junior High School <br />Middle schools or junior high schools serve students who have completed elementary school <br />and have not yet entered high school. <br /> <br />530 High School <br />High schools serve students who have completed middle school or junior high school. The high <br />schools analyzed were generally separated from other land uses and had exclusive access <br />points and parking facilities. <br /> <br />540 Junior/Community College <br />This use category includes two-year junior colleges or community colleges.
