n
n

n

From January through December
1994, a 2S-member planning
committee gathered suggestions and
ideas from hundreds of community
members involved with the arts. These
artists, arts administrators, business
leaders, public officials, educators
and donors contributed to the
recomendations contained in ArtsPlan.
Throughout the ArtsPlan
process, three key themes emerged.
These included doing more with what
we have, increasing joint effort and
collaboration in all ways. and working
together to build our collective sense
of community
The committee believes the
following goals and recommendations
address these issues, and provide a
framework to utilize the diversity,
strengths and potential of the arts in
building a healthy future for Eugene-
Springfield.

11

[1

[1

f1
.i ~
i .

f \
1 f
Ii

~ l
, 1

~l
, j

'l:' "'1

" t

ARTSPLAN KEY RECOMMENDATIONS

GOAL I: INCREASE THE ACCESS TO, KNOWLEDGE ABOUT AND
INVOLVEMENT IN THE ARTS BY REGIONAL AND LOCAL CITIZENS
.
