This is identified as a prospective petition by checking the box on the form. b) SEL 121 - PETITION FOR NONPARTISAN NOMINATION: The candidate is required to submit a sample of this form to be approved by the City Recorder for circulation. c) SEL 300 - STATEMENT ONE OR MORE PETITION CIRCULATORS WILLNVILL NOT BE PAID: This statement relates to the nominating petition and must be filed with the sample nominating petition. Auth~rizat.ion To__._Coi~__._.e_ct And Re uiq~d Numbe_r Of ~!g_natures To~uai.i_~¢ For The Ballot a) The City Recorder will review the forms and issue a letter to the candidate authorizing the collection of signatures on form SEL 121 - PETITION FOR NONPARTISAN NOMINATION. b) Mayoral, City Council, and EWEB candidates are required to submit at least 25 nominating signatures of registered voters who reside within the jurisdiction they seek to represent. c) ~t is strongly recommended that candidates collect additional signatures in the event that some are disqualified. d) The authorization letter and the signatures must be submitted by the candidate to Lane County Elections Division at 275 W. 10th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97401 (541)682-4234, for verification of sufficiency and validity.
