repair; porches and decks, where the floor or deck is not more than 30 inches above <br />grade and where the edge of the porch, deck or floor does not come closer than <br />three feet to property lines; patio covers, not over 120 square feet in area; painting, <br />interior wall, floor or ceiling covering; nonbearing partitions; shelving; cabinet <br />work; gutters and downspouts which do not impact general site drainage; small <br />accessory buildings not over 120 square feet or a height of 10 feet measured to the <br />highest point; door and window replacements (where no structural member is <br />changed); replacement or repair of siding not required to be fire resistant; reroofing, <br />except in Wildfire Hazard Zones as provided in the one and two family dwelling <br />code section R-221 or replacement or repair of roofing the weight of which does <br />not exceed 30 percent of the required live load design capacity and is not required <br />to be fire resistant; and plastic glazed storm windows. <br />1.2.3. Plumbing Permit. A plumbing permit shall not be required for the <br />following: <br />1.2.3.1. The stopping of leaks in drains, soil, waste or vent pipe, <br />provided, however, that should any concealed trap, drainpipe, soil, waste or <br />vent pipe become defective and it becomes necessary to remove and replace <br />the same with new material, the same shall be considered as new work and <br />a permit shall be procured and inspection made as provided in these <br />regulations or the administrative or technical code; <br />1.2.3.2. The clearing of stoppages or the repairing of leaks in pipes, <br />valves or fixtures, not for the removal and reinstallation of water closets, <br />provided such repairs do not involve or require the replacement or <br />rearrangement of valves, pipes or fixtures. <br />1.2.3.3. The installation or replacement of plumbing fixtures <br />specifically addressed in state statutes. <br />1.2.4. Electrical Permit. An electrical permit shall not be required for the <br />following: <br />1.2.4.1. To replace light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, or approved fuses, <br />or to connect approved portable electrical equipment to permanently <br />installed and properly wired receptacles; <br />1.2.4.2. For experimental electrical work or testing of electrical <br />products in testing laboratories of electric shops, educational institutions, <br />industrial plants, or recognized testing laboratories. <br />1.2.5. Mechanical Permit. A mechanical permit shall not be required for <br />the following: <br />1.2.5.1.
