Writtenletterorstatementofrequest <br />Descriptionofpublicprocessforvettingtheproposedname <br />Impactanalysis,includingfinancialimplications,communityimpact,potentialnegativeimpacts, <br />associatedwiththenamingorrenaming. <br />AminimumofsixcouncilorsvotingintheaffirmativeisrequiredfortheCityCounciltoofficiallyendorse <br />anamingproposal.Intheeventthisthresholdcannotbemet,aformalnoticewillbesenttothe <br />requestingagencystatingthattheCityCouncilhasnopositionontherequest. <br />COUNCILINITIATEDPROPOSALSTOOTHERJURISDICTIONS <br />Individuals,advisorygroups,organizations,individualcouncilors,orthecouncilasabodymaywishto <br />recommendanameforafacilitynotundertheCityof9ǒŭĻƓĻ͸ƭjurisdiction.Inthesecases,the <br />followingprocedurewillbeusedtodevelopaformalrecommendation: <br />1.IndividualorgroupsubmitsrecommendationinwritingtoCityCouncilvialetterornominationform. <br />2.RecommendationisplacedonConsentCalendarforinitiationofpubliccommentperiod. <br />3.Notificationaboutthepubliccommentperiodwilloccuronthe/źƷǤ͸ƭwebsiteorbyothereffective <br />meansofcommunicationandwillconsistof: <br />Adescriptionofthefacilitytobenamed,itslocation,anditsproposedname <br />Thedeadlineforsubmittingcomments(eitherinwritingorinperson) <br />Theaddresstowhichcitizensmaysendtheircomments <br />Thedatesandtimesofatleastonepublicforumtobeheldduringthepubliccommentperiodat <br />whichcitizensmaycommentontheproposedname <br />5.Staffidentifiesanypotentialimpactsassociatedwiththeproposal,includingfinancialimplications. <br />6.Followingthepubliccommentperiod,theproposalisscheduledforactionbytheCityCouncil. <br />7.Officialletterofrecommendationispreparedandsenttogoverningagency. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />A.StreetNamingPolicy(includingrelevantcodeprovisions) <br />B.LibraryNamingPolicy <br />C.ParksandOpenSpaceNamingPolicy <br />D.ApplicationforNaming/RenamingFacilities <br /> <br />
