<br />Table 6 provides a comparison of the allocated growth costs for neighborhood parks and access
<br />improvements, and SDCs for a single family dwelling unit, under the two allocation methods.
<br />As shown in the table, the allocation of future neighborhood park land acquisition and
<br />development costs is significantly lower (about $4.2 million) under the service area method.
<br />However, the allocation of existing neighborhood park costs through the reimbursement fee
<br />increases by about $3.3 million. Therefore, the net effect on the SDC of using the service area
<br />method is a decrease of only $46-$54 per SFD.
