These include the completion and grand opening of RiverPlay Discovery Village, a
regional destination playground, grand reopening of neighborhood parks throughout the
community, and a number of new and expanded recreation programs including Eugene’s
first “Out in the Artdoors” urban adventure race. The
2005-06 Cuthbert season activity and attendance doubled the preceding three year
average. These results exceeded staff expectations and generated a net return to the city.
