We are concerned about the lack of public
process and also the design details of this project. We urge you to vote
against authorization of the LID at this time.

This is a sentinel project in River Road. It's important for the River Road
community to have more input before the project moves forward. This project
presents an opportunity to build trust between the City and our
neighborhood. The current design needs more significant refinement. River
Road wants to contribute design input that reflects the heritage values of
our neighborhoods.

River Avenue needs a context-sensitive design process, with significant
neighborhood involvement, much like was used for the Irvington Road
project.

Thank you,

Rob Handy, Chair
on behalf of the board of the River Road Community Organization

cc: LCBC
City Manager Dennis Taylor
Jim Carlson
Susan Muir
Kurt Yeiter
Johnny Medlin
Michelle Cahill
Lynda Rose

Santa Clara Community Organization
