This Metro <br />Plan policy amendment has been coordinated with the Public Safety providers and will enhance, <br />not detract from, the public services provided by the cities. Therefore, the proposed amendment <br />to Growth Management Policy 15 clarifies the status of public safety services and delivery and is <br />consistent within the Metro Plan. <br /> <br />Thus, the proposed Metro Plan amendment will not make the Metro Plan intemally inconsistent <br />and the proposed revision is consistent with this criterion. <br /> <br />CONCLUSION <br /> <br />Based on the findings set forth herein, the Eugene and Springfield City Councils and the Lane <br />County Board of Commissioners conclude that the proposed amendment to Metro Plan Growth <br />Management Policy 15 is found to be consistent with relevant statewide planning goals adopted <br />by the Land Conservation and Development Commission and adoption of the Metro Plan <br />amendment will not make the Metro Plan internally inconsistent. <br /> <br /> Exhibit B: Findings in Support of Ordinance No. PA 1221 Amending the Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan <br /> (Metro Plan) to Clarify and Provide Greater Flexibility For Public Safety Service Delivery in the Eugene-Springfield <br /> Metropolitan Area (Metro Plan, Growth Management, Policy 15.) <br /> <br /> Page 5 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
