<br />An Ordinance calling a. special election, submitting to the electors of the
<br />City of Eugene, and of the proposed annexed territory, which description is fully
<br />set out in said Ordinance and known as Chula Vista District, the proposition of
<br />annexing to the City of Eugene, such territory, ordering notices given, and fix-
<br />ing the time and designating the polling places and naming the judges and clerks
<br />of election, was read the first time and passed its second and third readings
<br />by title by unanimous consent under suspension of the rule and was placed on its
<br />final passage. Tp.e ayes and nays were called, all present voting aye, nay, none.
<br />The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 6744.

<br />May, 1928, concurrently with the general special st~te primary election, the
<br />following proposed amendments to the Charter of the City of Eugene, which are fully
<br />set out in the Ordinance, referred to the electors of said City by the (.;ommon
<br />Council for their approval or rejection, and providing for polling places and for
<br />the appointment of Judges and Clerks of the election, and all acts necessary for
<br />the carrying on of the said election, and declaring an emergency, was read the firs
<br />time and passed its second and third readings by title by unanimous consent under
<br />suspension of the rule and was placed on its final passage. Tye ayes and nays were
<br />called, all present voting aye, nay, none. ~he Ordinance was declared passed and
<br />numbered 6747.

<br />Whereas in the opening of 7th Avenue from the ii'Jest line of Campbells First

<br />Addition to the West City Limits, as adopted Uilder Ordinance:q630, three tracts
<br />

<br />of ground were tiken from David Link as therein described, for-WhiCh damages were
<br />
<br />awarded in the amount of $1100.00 and in such opening six adjacent tracts as there-
<br />in described, owned by David Link, were assessed benefits to the amount of $1100.0
<br />
<br />this making the total amount of dama~es and benefits offset, one as against the
<br />other.
<br />
<br />And Whereas, in such opening a tract of ground a~dJ:Q._~.1'~~~ed_ was ~aken_

<br />from ~usan ~owell for which damages to the amount of $500~00feach,. this making the
<br />
<br />total amount of damages and benefits offset one as against the other.

<br />David Link and Susan Powell have been assessed against said properties as therein
<br />described and the City is ow~ing David Link and ~usan Powell the identical amounts
<br />said parties are owing the City under such assessments.

<br />Be it, Therefore, Resolved:
