<br /> Ii VI. H. pwearingen appeared and asked as :to the clispostion of the petition
<br /> I~ to pave McKy Drive in McKy Court. He was informend that as t,hls drive is no t a
<br /> I: public Street, the only way it can be paved under. the BanalE'oft Ac t, is to have all
<br /> II adjacent property owners join in a petition under, a waiver.

<br /> II ' James Myers ap'peared and stated he is d~sirous of improving his property
<br /> ii at 14th Avenu~ and Olive Streets, which St,!:'eet is not open between Willamette and
<br /> i; Olive Streets, and stated he did not desire to ma:j(e extensive improvements, if the
<br /> :1 City is to, open such Street in the immedia te future. The Ci ty Engineer was direc ted
<br /> :; to prepare plans and specifica tions looking to the opening of' said Street and file
<br /> the saIne before the next meeting of the Council. , ,
<br /> As per the call, bids were opened for t~e construction of a sanitary
<br /> sewer between Monroe and Ash Streets from Clark Avenue to Cheshire Avenue as follows

<br /> Peter Nelson 468.60

<br /> Said bids were referred to t1'e Sewer Committee for report, and such
<br /> Commi ttee recommended the bi d of Pe tel' Nel son at $468.60 be a ccept,ed. On motion
<br /> sucll report was adopted and the Mayor and Recorder were directed to enter into a
<br /> contract with such Slccessful bidder for the performance of such work.

<br /> '8thoAvenue to Broadway, as follows: $2,576.00 I

<br /> Committee recom:nend~d the pid of Oscar Snow at $2,467.25 be accepted. On motion
<br /> such report was adopted and the Mayor and Recorder were direc,ted to enter into a .
<br /> contract with such successful, bidder for the perfo,!:'mance of such work.

<br /> 13th Avenue and 14th Avenue from Alder to Kinciad ,Streets as follows:

<br /> " The Fire and Water Commi ttee rep orted tha t the cOffimi ttee on the Fourth
<br /> ,of July celebration asks that the Fire ~epar.tment, with the exception of one man
<br /> to be left at the Fire Hall, be used ini-.thI3 parade on the Fourth of July, and
<br /> recommended that such petition be granted. On motion Slch recommendation was
<br /> adopted. I
<br /> !I The Fire and Water Committee reported it :!::as not yet been able to get
<br /> :1 from C. A. McClean the information desired, so it may re,port on the additional
<br /> I lights requested to be installed in the FtUl.rmount area, and asks for more time in
<br /> which to report.
