<br /> J. M. :Murray appeared re.l:a ti ve to his pro:posed assessment for fill for side-
<br /> walk on High Street and 5th Avenue. Such matter was referred to the Street
<br /> Committee and the Clty Engineer for report at the next meeting of the Council.
<br /> W. E. Nusbaum appeared and rendered a report as to the Fire Convention he
<br /> attneded in Sacramento.
<br /> Several Junk dealers appeared as to controversies which have taken place
<br /> I between junk dealers and people claiming property found in junk stores, and asked
<br /> the City to prepare an Ordinance for some regulations covering the buying and
<br /> sellihg of 2nd hand goods by such dealers. Said matter was referred to the
<br /> Judiciary Committee and the City Attorney for the purpose of preparing a proper
<br /> Ordinance to meet such situation.
