Wilkins, reque sted that an :: estimate be mete for placing about 24 cubic yards of rock at the Aviation Field, :1 and. the City Engineer prepared such estimate at the price of $416.00. Both the d Eugene Sand and Gravel Co. and A. C. Ivie.tt,ews agreed to furnish the rock at $1.50 ,) per y~d. The Park Board were authorized. to enter into a~.contract for such work and ma terial as it sees fit. A petition was receHved from residents on Franklin Boulevard and Garden Streets asking t,hat a board walk adjacent to the Anchorage which lies only within the Street, be removed, as it is a menace to both pedestrians and others. Said matter was referred to the Street Committee and the City Lngineer for report at the next mee t ing of the C ounci 1. i. pe t'lt ion was received from VI. w. rtuch and '0 thers asking theC i ty to repair Agate Street between 13th and 14th Avenues to put said Street in its original condition without expense to property owners, stating in such petition the condit.ion of such Street is now very bad. Such ma tter was referred to the Street COfrunittee and the City Engineer for report. A petition was received from bicycle shops and also from owners of bicycles, asking the City to pass an Ordinance regulating the licensing of bicycles and the manner in which de<Blers shall buy and sell 2nd hand bicycles. Said matter was referred to the 3udiciary Committee and the City At!~'orney for report. The follo~ving Resolution was offered and unanimously adopted: ~ RESeLUlfI6N FOO O;r.EIHNG EIGHTEENT'li AVENUE FROM ViILLA.l\1ETTE STREET TO OAK S1'REET IN EUGENE, OREGON. .1 ! RESOLVED: That the Common Council of the City of .&;ugere, Oregon, deems it expedient anli necessary to open, layout and establish EIGHTEENTH AVEN1JE FROM WILLANIE'rTE STREET TO OAK STREET IN EUGENE, OREGON. and that the Uity Engineer be and is directed to make a survey of the same, to llBrk the boundaries thereof, to make a 'plat tb,ere.of, ,and make and file a written report containing a full an~ complete description of such street and its boundari'3s, and of the portions of each lo1~_, part of lot or tract of land to be appropria ted therefor. The follow ing Re solu tion was 0 ffered and unanimously adopted: ., - RES 0 L UTI 0 N - VlHEREAS, on the 26th day of March, 1925, the Central Heating Co. of Eugere, Oregon, deposited $150.00 to cover the cost of cutting the pavement I in the alley between Willarre tte and Olive Streets in the rear of the Mc.Don1,3..1d i Theater, and thereafter, in the improveqtent of paving the alley betv\reen 6th. " and lOth Ave!lUes, the Central Heating Co. was assessed in the amount of $758.29 for the repai.i':img of the cut made by them, whieh asse ssment was ent ered in I the docket of City Liens, on page 289, of Volume 5, thereof.
