<br />ayes and nays were called, all present voting aye, absent and not voting, Wash-,
<br />burne. The Ordinance was declared passed, and numbered 7275.

<br />Four Sidewalk Assessment Ordinances, havin,g been read the first time on
<br />January 7, 1929, and registered notices for protest having been sent, arid no
<br />protests being received, said ordinances passed their second and third readings
<br />by title by unanimous consent under sus:pension of the rule, and were placed on
<br />the'ir final passage. The ayes and. nays were 'called, all present voting aye,
<br />absent and not voting, Washburne. The Ordinances were dec~ared passed and num-
<br />bered consecutively from 7276 to 7279, bo,th n~lnbers inclusive.

<br />Mr. Lammers, of the firm of LammeI' & Barringer, house movers, called the
<br />attention of the C01l1lcil to the dif'ficultiesof moving houses, under the ,wires
<br />through the City Streets, and suggested the location of City wirings should be
<br />placed at sufficien t highth to' reduce the expense to house movers on account of
<br />. charges made by the light department for raising wi .res. The matter Was referred
<br />to the Building Inspector and Street Committee.

<br />The City Recorder called attention to the Ordinance reqUl.rl.ng requisitions
<br />:f;or City purchasing, and the Recorder, and .Finame Committee were instructed to

<br />The Mayor named Chester Lawrence as appointee to the; office of Milk
<br />Inspector at a salary of $225.00 a month, commencing February 1st. 1929, and a '
<br />mO.ti.on was made and seconded to confirm the appointment and place him upon the'
<br />regular pay roll. The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen Voting aye. Hende.r-
<br />shott,L~rge, and Monroe; na:{, Lamb, Simon, Reidi, and Zumwalt; al,>sent and not
<br />voting, Washbur'ne. The mat,ter of the appointmen t of Milk Inspector was continu,ed
