Wilder, <br /> <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />C ouuc il Chambe rs, F;ugene, Oreg'On; <br />Januar,y 30, 1929. <br /> <br />Council met in special session, .pursuant to the call of Mayor <br />Wilder. ~rherew.el'e present DouncilmenLamb, Reid, Large, Monroe, and. <br />Zumwalt; absent Councilmen Washburnel, Hendel~shott, and Simon. <br /> <br />The 'purpose of the meeting was stated, and the Mayor naalled <br />Chester Lawrence as appointee to the office of Milk Inspector of the <br />City of Eugene, at a salary of $225.00 per month, with the under- <br />standing that he furnish his own car, and gas and oil to be furnished <br />by the City. Mo.tion was made and seconded that the ap:pdl.rl:.ntment be <br />confirmed and that Mr. Lawrence be placed upon the regular pay roll <br />at $225..00, and that the Recor'der draw warrants in payment of his <br />monthly salary at the time the regul.ar pay roll is draw'n. The ases <br />and nays were called, all present votihg aye, nay, none; a'bsent and <br />not voting, Washburne, Hendershott, and Simon.
