<br /> Whereas, a petition has been filed by M. H. Barr and Hettie Barr, his wife,
<br /> and W. J. Miller and Myrtle Nliller, his wife, praying for a vacation of t,hat
<br /> portion of Maple Avenue in the City of Eugene lying North of the North line of
<br /> 15th Avenue East and South of the South line of 'vVoodland Avenue in said Ci ty,
<br /> said portion" lying 'between Lot 22 of Block 35, Fairmount Addition to Eugene,
<br /> Oregon, and Lot 1, Block 1, Victoria Heights, an Addition to Eugene, Lane County,
<br /> Oregon, and it appears from said petition that the petitioners are the owners of
<br /> all the property adjacent to that portion of said street proposed to be vacated,
<br /> and that said petitioners are the onl"y persons interested in said vacation and
<br /> that said vacation will be to the best interest of the said City of Eugene and
<br /> to the public and that said portion of said street is a deep gully and is
<br /> dangerous and difficult to maintain.

<br /> directed to issue notices containing a description of the street proposed to be
<br /> I vacated, and which said notices shall be published by posting three copies of
<br /> said notice in three of the most public places in the City of Eugene and one
<br /> copy to be posted upon the area sought to 'be vacated and that said notice shall
<br /> be published in the Eugene Register, a newspaper of general circulation publiShed
