<br />.An Ordinance vacating Commercial Avenue from the East line of Jackson
<br />Street to the liVest line of Adams Street, being located between Blocks Two 'and
<br />Three of Riverwood, an Addition to the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, was
<br />read the first time, and passed its second and third readings by title by unan-
<br />imous consent under suspension of the rule, and was placed on its final passage.
<br />The ayes and: nays were called, all Councilmen voting aye, nay, none. The Ordinanc
<br />was declared passed and numbered 7806.

<br />Seven Sidewalk Improvement Ordinances were read the first time, and passed
<br />the ir sec ond and thi I'd readings by title by unanimous cons ent l..illder suspens ion of
<br />the .rule, and were placed on their final passage. The aye s and nays were called,
<br />all Councilmen voting aye, nay, none. The Ordinances were declared passed and
<br />numbered 7807 to 7813, both numbers inclusive.

<br />Twenty-one Sidewalk Assessment Ordinances were l"ead the first time and laid
<br />
<br />over.

<br />An Ordinance prohibiting the constructing, re-constructing replacing or
<br />repairing in any material way of gasoline and oil pumps in the streets of the City
<br />of Eugene, imposing a penalty and declaring an emergency was read the first time
<br />and la id over.

<br />.An agreement signed by Mr. Washburne of the Judiciary Committee and I. J.
<br />Woodman in behalf of the Vfestern Oregon Conference Association of Seventh Day
<br />Adventists was ratified by the Council ,which provided for the payment of One
<br />Hundred Dollars in exchange for a deed to Lot 11, Block 2, Fairmount Heights,
<br />being in settlement and compensation for a portion of said lot taken for street
<br />purposes at 22nd and Columbia Streets. The deed tendered to the Ci ty at this time
<br />was on motion accepted and a motion made, that a warrant be drawn to said Western
<br />Oregon Conference Association for the sum of $100. The ayes and nays were called,
<br />all councilmen voting aye, nay, none.
