The ayes and nays were called, councilmen voting aye, Simon, Lamb, <br />Reid, Hendershott" Monroe, and Zumwalt; na.)r, Washburne and Large. The motion was <br />declared carried. <br /> <br />1~. H. H. Wood called attention to a traffic hazard at the intersection <br />of 8th and Washington Streets. <br /> <br />The Mayor recommended for appointment as special police officers working <br />on merchants patrol, Julian Strait and VV. W. Bond, and the appointment was duly <br />confirmed by the council. <br /> <br />On recommendation of Councilman Lamb, the Recorder was instructed t.o have <br />proper lettering placed on all City cars to show City Ownership. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Chairman Large of the finance committee recommended for payment the follow <br />ing bills, and a motion was made and seconded that said bills be paid.
