<br /> Mr. Large" ChaLrman of the Finance Committee, mOlTed that the City Counc.il ~
<br /> recommend to the next budget committee the including of $500.00 in the city
<br /> budget for the purpose of contributing to thef'und. of t,he Lane County Health
<br /> Association contingent upon the county contributing $1000.00 and. the school
<br /> district $500.00. The motion was seconded and carried.
<br /> Chairman Lamb of the Street Committee stated that the City of Cottage GrolTe
<br /> wanted to purchase some black top from the City of Eugene for street paving pur-
<br /> poses, and on motion the street committee were authorized to accommodate them
<br /> wi t,h such ,!uani ty of material as the city can spare at a price that will cover
<br /> all e:<:penses of the City of Eugene.
<br /> The ,!uestion of furnace fuel and condition of the furnace for use of wood
<br /> for hog fuel was referred to Mayor Wilder.
<br /> A motion was illEl.de, seconded, and carried that the Ci ty take up the cement
<br /> walk running from the North side of the City Hall to the sidewalk and re.!;llace
<br /> with lawn.
<br /> The Recorder advised the Council of an injury sustained by Fay Robertson,
<br /> daughter of 1~s. R. L. Robertson, caused by falling on defec ti ve sidewalk on tre
<br /> Cit~l Hall corner.- 'Ehe matter was referred t,o the finance committee.
<br /> The following resolution was on motion duly adopted:
<br /> RESOLUTION
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings of the City of Eugene, Oregon, for the
<br /> I foreclosure of that certain lien held for the improvement of Franklin Boulevard,
<br /> by paving the same, as assessed by Ordinance No. 3973 of said City of Eugene,
<br /> passed by the Common Council of said City on Feb. 25, 1923, and entered in Lien
<br /> Docke t No. 4 a t page' 263, the hereinafter described real property was sold at
<br /> public sale on the 22nd day of June, 1929, by the City Treasurer of said City of
<br /> E'ugene, to the City of Eugene a municipal corporation, and on said date his certi-
<br /> ficate of sale issued to said City of Eugene, and that the time for redempti on
<br /> from said sale expired on June 22nd, 1930, and said property was not redeemed
<br /> from said sale, and a deed to said property was made by said Treasurer of said
<br /> City of Eugene and said property thereby duly conveyed to said City and said City
<br /> is now the owner of said property, and
<br /> V.JHEREAS, Roy L. Dunn and Jose.phine May Dunn were the holders of an e,!uit-
<br /> able interest in said property, and now offer to purchase said property from said
<br /> City and to pay to said City the total amount of said lien and interest and penal-
<br /> tie s accl"uing, aggregating the SUln IOf ~238.92, now therefore be it,
<br /> RESOLVED, that inconsideration of the sum of ~238.92 tendered to said
<br /> City by said Roy L.Dunn and Josephine May Dunn, said City be and is hereby author
<br /> I ized to convey to said parties the said property, and tha t the Mayor and Recorder
<br /> of said City are hereby authorized and directed to execute said deed to said
<br /> pI" ope rty . That the property herein l'eferred to and to be sold is as follows,
<br /> to-wit:
<br /> Beginning at a point 150 fe e t we s t e r ly of a point on the North line of
<br /> the County Road, 90 feet North of the center line of the railroad, .on the line
<br /> between the F. Mclviurry D. L. C. No. 66 and the William Smith D. L. C. No. 67 in
<br /> Section 32, in Township 17 South Range Three West of Willamette Meridian, and
