<br /> streets was read, and a motion was made, seconded, and carried that the time for
<br /> removal of thJLs building be extended six months upon the filing of a satisfactory
<br /> bond. 0

<br /> Said bids were referred to the Street Committee for report, and such
<br />I committee recommended those bids be accepted after which, the word "approved" is
<br /> written as to each ordinance number. On motion, such report was adopted.

<br />I The Fire and Water Committee by Chairman Hendershott recommended the in-
<br />I stallation of an alley light at the intersection of alleys in block bounded by
<br />I 5th and 6th, Olive and Charnelton Streets. On,motion said.recommendation was
<br /> adopted.

<br />II Ci ty Attorney Calkins called attention to the Supreme Court decision of
<br />II the Springfield tax case, and on motion it was ordered that the subject be referI' d
<br />II to the Judiciary Committee, and that a meeting with a similar committee from the
<br />,I town of Springfield be arranged, looking to a satisfactory and friendly agreement
<br /> as to any matters involved. .
<br /> Mrs. H., L. Anderson's application for a hotel permi t at 70 East Broadway, 1':
<br /> approved by Chief Hall, was on motion granted.
<br /> Reportsl of the Building Inspec tor for November, the Public Library for
<br /> October and November, and Hobi Airways Company for October were read and filed.
<br /> I ~even sidewalk assessment Ordinances, havi4g been read the first time on
<br /> I December 8, 1930, and registered notices for protest having been sent and now no
<br />II protests being received, said ordinances were read the second time, and passed
<br />II their third readings by title by unanimous consent under suspension of the rule,
<br /> and were placEid on their final~ passage. The ayes and nays were called, all
<br /> present votin.g aye, nay, none; absent Monroe. The Ordinances were declared
<br />I passed, and numbered consecutively from 7977 to 7983, both numbers inelusive.
<br /> Twelve Sidewalk Assessment Ordinances were read the first time and laid
<br />I over.

<br /> through Block 26 Fairmount from the South line of Block 26 to the South lines
<br /> I of Lots 1 and 6 in said Block 26 in ~ugene, Lane County, Oregon, was read the
<br /> first time, and passed its second and third readings by unanimous consent under
<br />II suspension of the rule and was placed upon its final passage. The aye s and nays
<br /> were called, a.ll present voting aye, except Washburne. who didn't vote, nay, none,
<br /> absent Monroe. The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 7984.
