<br /> An Act to amend the Charter of the City of Eugene, Oregon, by adding a .
<br /> new Chapter thereto, authorizing and empowering the Common Council of the Ci ty
<br /> of Eugene, to l>urchase, receive, take and acquire by eminen t domain or othel~wi se,

<br /> means of access thereto by roads, ways, streets, railr oad spurs, bri,dge s or the

<br /> like and to sell and or donate the same to the United States of America, as the
<br /> council of the City may deem best, for the, construction the,reon of a National
<br /> Soldier's Home or Homes, or branch or branches thereof, and to issue and sell the,
<br /> negotiable bonels of the ci ty of Eugene in an amount not exceeding $250,000.00 and
<br /> in such amount as the council may deem necessary, and to use the proceeds of such

<br /> bond issue to pay for the sam e.
