<br /> Chail~man Bond of the Fire and Water Gommittee reported that the Ghie:tt
<br /> of the Fire Department had taken care of the difficulty regarding piling of
<br /> il groceries in theatre entrance ways and lobbys. .
<br /> He also recommended that street lights he installed at the entrance
<br /> of the City at the North and of Railroad Blvd. and at the intersection of 12th,
<br /> I 13th, Patterson, and Ferry Streets for the purpose of lighting the lane of Varsity
<br /> Court, and it was so ordered.
<br /> At thi s time the bid of the First National Bank and the United States I
<br /> Nati onal Bank was opened and read as follows:
<br /> n The First National Bank of Eugene and the United States National Bank
<br /> of Eugene hereby jointly submit a bid of par and accrued interest from the date
<br /> thereof for the $21,500.00 in amount of sewer bonds, 1926, of the City of Eugene

<br /> is the only bidr'eceived, and that the same is a fair and satisfactory bid for

<br /> said bonds to said bidders in accordance with the bid. Motion was seconded, and
