. ~ 17f7 - -------~------ I The resignation of Graham B. Smith, as member of the Board of Appeals, was read and placed on file. A communication to Mr. Clubb, City Engineer, from a group of Eugene Plumbers recommending the adoption of the Wisconsin Code was read and referred to the Sewer Committee. .~ '.~,l .--1 Chairman, Mr. Hendershott, of the Finance Committee moved that the sum of $575.00 held by the City Treasurer, as a receipt of the Eugene Boxing Committee for 1932 be di stributed 40%, amounting to $230.00, be turned- over to Mrs. Richardson Police Matron, and 60%, amounting to $345.00 be turned over to the Veterans Organ- izations as provided by the statute, upon receipt by the Treasurer of satisfactory evidence, and the Treasurer hereby instructed to make such distribution. Councilman Zumwalt was excused from further attendance. . This /being the time for hearing objections to the proposed vaeation of the East 22 feet of Ramey Street between 23rd and 24th avenues, objections were called for and none heard, whereupon the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the Ordinance vacating said portion of street. Councilman Reid moved that the City continue the appropriation of $25.00 per month for relief expenditure through Councilman Lamb for the ~enefit of the Decker Hotel. Motion was seconded, the ayes and nays were called, and the Councilman voting ayes, six, nays, none. Absent Zumwalt and Scobert. On motion the Council ordered tabled the proposal of the Eugene Gun Club to sell certain electrical installations and connections at the Eugene Aviation Field, for the reason that the cost would be in the neighborhood of $500.00 or $600.00, and funds were not available for such purposes.
