Smith, as member of the Board of Appeals, was <br />read and placed on file. <br /> <br />A communication to Mr. Clubb, City Engineer, from a group of Eugene Plumbers <br />recommending the adoption of the Wisconsin Code was read and referred to the <br />Sewer Committee. <br /> <br />.~ <br />'.~,l <br />.--1 <br /> <br />Chairman, Mr. Hendershott, of the Finance Committee moved that the sum of <br />$575.00 held by the City Treasurer, as a receipt of the Eugene Boxing Committee <br />for 1932 be di stributed 40%, amounting to $230.00, be turned- over to Mrs. Richardson <br />Police Matron, and 60%, amounting to $345.00 be turned over to the Veterans Organ- <br />izations as provided by the statute, upon receipt by the Treasurer of satisfactory <br />evidence, and the Treasurer hereby instructed to make such distribution. <br /> <br />Councilman Zumwalt was excused from further attendance. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This /being the time for hearing objections to the proposed vaeation of the East <br />22 feet of Ramey Street between 23rd and 24th avenues, objections were called for <br />and none heard, whereupon the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the Ordinance <br />vacating said portion of street. <br /> <br />Councilman Reid moved that the City continue the appropriation of $25.00 per <br />month for relief expenditure through Councilman Lamb for the ~enefit of the Decker <br />Hotel. Motion was seconded, the ayes and nays were called, and the Councilman <br />voting ayes, six, nays, none. Absent Zumwalt and Scobert. <br /> <br />On motion the Council ordered tabled the proposal of the Eugene Gun Club to <br />sell certain electrical installations and connections at the Eugene Aviation Field, <br />for the reason that the cost would be in the neighborhood of $500.00 or $600.00, <br />and funds were not available for such purposes. <br /> <br />On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />R.
