<br />Wallace Wint lel', Chairman of the -Fourth. of July Commi ttee, appeared before the
<br />Council with a l~equest that the right of all Fourth of J-uly concessions, covering
<br />the periOd of the celebration from Saturday until Tuesday, be granted them, and
<br />I also that they be eranted the .r.Lght to close Eighth Avenue from Willamette to TI:ast
<br />Park Str~ets, and Oak f-::,oi~1 .3roadway to"Hor,~~ Park Streets during the period,of the
<br />'I celebratIon, and. the pJ:'lvllege of clos.lng ,hllamette from SelTenth to Tenth Streets
<br />on the Fourth of Jl:lly. Motion ViTaS made, seconded and carried that the request be
<br />I granted.

<br />The Judiciary Committee and City Attorney presented the proposed new Electrical
<br />Ordinance, aDd the City Attorney explained its provisions, and Mr. Irracy A. Stockel',
<br />I representing a number- of Electl"icians, discussed the Ordinance, after which it was
<br />1 referred back to the City -Attorney to bere-drafted and submitted to the ~oard of
<br />Appeals for their advice to the Council.

<br />! Chairman Render-shott of the Finance Committee reported the following
<br />I the Council with recommendation that they be allowed, and motion was made
<br />I seconded that warran'ts be drmvn for same. The ayes and nays wex'e called,
