<br />-=--- <br />.' <br /> <br />~ <br />257 <br /> <br />The Recorder submitted bids he had received for furnishing gasoline to the <br />City, and the same were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Recorder called attention to the balrolce of $1,500.00 due the Eugene ;0~ <br />Concrete Pipe Company for rent of their tile factol'y, and motion was made, sec.onded .:,,"~3\ <br />and carried that there be transferred from the Emergency fund, to the Sewer fund <br />the sum of $1,500.00; whereupon a motion was made, seconded and carried that the <br />Recorder and Mayor be instructed to ~ssue and sign, warrants in the sUm of $1,500.00 <br />on the Sewer fund in favor of the Eugene Concrete Pipe Company, in full of the <br />balance due for the rent of the tile factory, in accordance with the terms of the <br />contract. The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye 8, nay none, absent <br />none. <br /> <br />f~ <br /> <br />City Engineer Clubb discussed the question of engineering survey of the pro- <br />posed sewage disposal plant, and a communication from L. R. Stockman, a Consulting <br />Engineer, was read and referred to the Judiciary Committee. <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />Councilman Zumwalt referred to complaints against the scattering of bills <br />throughout the City on peoples'21awns and cars. The matter was referred to the <br />Printing Committee. <br /> <br />Communication from the Oregon Council for the Protection of Roadside Beauty, <br />asking the cooperation of the Council with the purpose of this organization, and <br />a motion was made and seconded, and on an aye and nay vote, carried, and the <br />Recorder instructed to forward $2.00 for membership in the support of this <br />organization. <br /> <br />Attention was called to the Commonwealth Conference at the University of <br />Oregon to be held March 19th to ~4th inclusive, to which all City Officials are <br />invi ted. <br /> <br />On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br />R.
