I Minutes of the regular meeting of the Common Council held at the hour of' 7:30 o'clock P. 11., June II, 1934. Council was called to order by Mayor La.rge, with all Councilmen present except Mr. Reid and Dr. Harris. Minutes of the regular meeting of May 14th and the adjourned meeting of May 28th were read and -approved. Miss Reynolds reported that soot from the stack at the Eugene Farmer's Creamery at 6.th and Oli ve Stree ts was a serious nuisance to the occupancy of their residence property. The matter was referred to the Health Coa~ittee. F. M. Cashman presented a communication from the Pacific Savings and Loan Association relative to an old assessment against property which is the South 40 feet of the North 80 feet of Lot 1, Block 2, Cherry Grove Addition, with a request that the interest be rebated. The matter was referred to the Judiciary Committee and City Attorney. Mr. Cashman suggested that "S10wu signs be placed on the Pacific Highway near the Anchorage on account of so many children and young people crossing the highway at the swimming pool. He was advised by the Police Committee that markers would be established at this P9int. The Finance Committee, by Chairman Hendershott, reported the following bills to the Council with a recommendation that they be allowed, and motion was made seconded and carried that warrants be drawn for same.
