<br />r--334 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />::- <br /> <br />Councilmen voting aye 8, nay, none, absent none. <br /> <br />An Ordinance regulating the sale,. installation, and maintenance of plumbing <br />in the City of Eugene, providing a penalty, declaring an emergency and repealing <br />all ordinances in conflict herewith, was read the first time and refer~d to the <br />Sewer Committee. _ This Ordinance was dravm up by the City Attorney at the request <br />of Mr. Williamson, and th~ following addressed the Council on the subject: J. W. <br />~~ckenbush, C. P. Til~an, and Mr. Faulkner. <br /> <br />Mr. Harnden addressed the Council on the subject of a change in program of <br />levying fee on the milk distributors in the City of Eugene, and he read a petition <br />which had been presented a short time ago asking for a flat fee of $25.00 charge <br />to each distributor, with a $5.00 fee per truck. It was moved and seco~ded that Mr <br />Harnden's recommendation be adopted, and the ayes and nays were called,Council- <br />men voting aye, Reid, and Harris, Nay, -[:,amb, Simon, Zumwalt, and Bond. Council- <br />men Hendershott and Carlson did not vote. The motion was deolared lost. It was <br />then ordered that the Recorder gather information from other oities of the state <br />and refer same to the Health^ Committee for report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Mitchell brought up the question of auotioneer's license, and the same <br />was referr~d to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />The Recorder was instructed to advertise for sealed bids for the audit of the <br />1934 City accounts, to be received at the Reoorder's Office not later than 7:30 <br />o.clock P. M.
