"... 342

,

.-

This closed the discussion, and the Recorder was requested to read the
proposed repeal ordinance the second time. On motion the ordinance was read by
title the third time and placed upon its final passage. Councilman Harris at
this time made the statement that the Council was going off half-cocked, and felt
that the Council should take more time. After further discussion Councilman Reid
moved that the Ordinance be held over until, the next meeting. ,Motion was second-
ed by Councilman Bond, and carried.

The Judiciary Committee, by Chairman Harris, asked for advice as to what
to do with the Auctioneers Ordinanc~. It was reported that a concession had been
made to J. K. Greer, and there seems to be no change in the ordinance, and he
reported that we should either definitely enforce the present ordinance or that
it should be amended. The Mayor referred this back to the Comrr.dttee to bring in
a definite report for the next meeting.

~~.~

.-""".~.

C. ,:.
~...,..,.
~~, .
{ ,..;,

I

The Finance Committee by Chairman IIendershott reported the following
bills to the Council with a recommendation that they be allowed.
