<br />Minutes of the regular meeting of the Common Council held at the hour of
<br />7:30'0'clock P. M., May 13,1935. Council was called to order by Mayor Lar~e,
<br />with all Councilmen present except Reid.
<br />
<br />Minutes of the regular meeting of April 8th, and the adjourned meetings of
<br />April T2th, 13th, and 22nd, 1935, were read and approved.
<br />
<br />Sealed bids for the sale of $137,000.00 Refunding Assessment Bonds C, and
<br />~~55,479.l6 Refunding Assessment Bonds D, from E. M. Adams & Company, and a joint
<br />bid on the j55,479.l6 from Baker, Fordyce, Harpham Co. and Hess, Tripp & Butchart,
<br />were duly opened and read, and the Finance Committee retired to consider the bids,
<br />and returned with the recommendation that all bids be rejected. This recommend-
<br />ation was unanimously approved by the Council.

<br />At this time Councilman Reid appeared in Council.
<br />
<br />The Judiciary Committee, by Chairman Harris, reported adversely on the
<br />proposition of Lottie N. Rugh to deed to the City a lot at the corner of West
<br />Broadway and Van Buren Streets, and this report was accepted.
<br />
<br />The Judiciary Committee, by Chairman Harris, reported adversely on the
<br />Burton Nelson claim, as a result of an accident on Birch Lane. This report was
<br />also approved by the Council.
<br />
<br />The Finance Committee, by Chairman Hendershott, prisented a letter from
<br />Fred Wentworth, City Treasurer, asking the Council to ratify the transfer of
<br />$24,725.00 in Home Owners' Loan Bonds to the General Bond Sinking Fund instead
<br />of selling them as previously authorized. This transfer was unanimously approved
<br />by the Council.

<br />The Finance Committee, by Chairman Hendershott, reported the following
<br />bills to the Council with a recommendation that they be allowed, and motion was
<br />made and seconded that warrants be drawn for same. The ayes and nays were called,
<br />Councilmen voting aye 8, nay none, absent none.
