After some discussion <br /> i;Councilman Harris placed for nomination the names of Harry B. Ruth, William East and <br /> II Dr. James D. Barnett, Head of Political Science, University of Oregon and Councilman <br />28)\ Bond nominated Clyde Johnson for the position.
