<br /> The minutes of the regular meeting of the common council held at the
<br /> "*' hour of 7~30 o'clock P. ~., October 11; 1937. The meeting was called to order by
<br /> Mayor Elisha Large. All members of the council were present except Reid, Carlson
<br /> 1 and Farrington. .
<br /> f The minutes of the previous m~eting, September 27, 1937, were presented
<br /> , , 2 and ordered filed as there were no cor~ections appear~ng.

<br /> The Judiciary Committee reco~ended payment of $15.75 to the Eugene Hos-
<br /> pital and Clinic for treatments rendered Ernest H. Craig, patient brought to the
<br /> hospital from the city Jail. Upon motion made and duly seconded, it was ordered
<br /> ~ that this ,bill be paid together with t~e other b~lls for the month and this was i
<br /> unanimously approved.
<br /> ,~ The Judiciary Committee asked 'for a period of two additional weeks in
<br /> which to study the request of Major James H. Tierney for repeal of two city park
<br /> . ,4 ordinances, to -wi t: Nos. . 47 8 . an~ 511, and it was so granted.

<br /> The Chairman of the Finance Committee, Arthur Hendershott, stated that
<br /> he'had received bids for a program of auditing the city books monthly during the
<br /> year, instead of at the end of each year and that reports be made to the council
<br /> on a quarterly basis. The two bids presented by local accountants were: Percy W.
<br /> . Brown, $350.00 and C. A. Horton, $390.00. It was the recommendation of the
<br /> /5 Finance Committee that the bid of Mr. ~rown be accepted and it was so ordered.
<br /> Councilman Hendershott, Finance Committee Chairman, reported the following
<br /> bills to the council with the recommendation that they be allowed and motion was
<br /> , made and seconded that warrants be drawn~ The ayes and nays were called, council-
<br /> } men voting aye: Lamb, Hendershott, Pa~e, Hanns and Bond; nay, none; absent, Reid,
