Mr. Cashrrran increased his bid <br /> from $4750.00 to $5500.00 and even though the city would lose $1310.81 as a result <br /> of this transaction, it was the recommendation of the Finance Committee that this <br /> offer be accepted with the condition also that the city :urnish ~nsured title. <br /> Considerable discussion followed and Mr. Cashman explainl~d that it was the plan of <br /> his company to construct 24 new homes, to layout and pare the necessary streets <br /> at their own expense. Upon motion made and seconded, th~ offer of Mr. Cashman was <br /> ;7 duly accepted. <br /> 8 At this time Councilmen Reid and Farrington arrived. <br /> The $400.00 offer of Charles E. Boyd for Block "C" Martin's Addition, <br /> known as #7 Madison Street, was rejected by the council and a counter-offer of <br /> /9 $625.00 extended. Upon motion made and seconded, this action was duly accepted. <br /> The $250.00 offer of Edward Howell for Lot 15, Block 4, Fairmount Amende <br /> Addition, was rejected by the council and a counter-offer of $750.00 extended. <br /> 10 This was unanimously approved. I <br /> / <br /> It was the recommendation of the Finance Committee that due to the fact <br /> that Mrs. A. B. Brown had not accepted the extension of one year on her contract <br /> in which to redeem property described as Lot 15, Block 4, Fairmount Addition, that <br /> the same be now rejected. Upon motion made and seconded, the recommendation of <br /> 11 the Committee was duly approved. <br /> I . <br /> Councilman P. J. Hanns, Chairman of the Fire' e,nd Water Committee, re- <br /> commended the installation of a street light at 15th ane, Kincaid and this was I <br /> 12 upon motion made, seconded, and duly carried, 'approved. <br /> / <br /> The Fire and Water Committee requested further' time to study the request <br /> of Kirstina Snow for installation of a street light at the intersection of Jackson <br /> 13 and West Second, and it was granted.
