<br /> WHEREAS THE CITY OF EUGENE is the owner of the South 40 feet ,of Lot; 5,
<br /> and the North 10 feet of Lot 6, Block 5, Hendrick's Amended Addition
<br /> to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and
<br /> I WHEREAS THE CITY OF EUGENE has caused the same to be appraised and de-
<br /> termined its value, and
<br /> WHEREAS Kenneth T. Blanton has offered the City $225.00 for said pro-
<br /> perty, which, according to the appraisement, is all that the property
<br /> is worth,
<br /> NOW THEREFQRE
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Gouncil of the City of Eugene that the
<br /> Mayor and Recorde~ be and they are hereby directed to enter into the
<br /> annexed contract on behalf of the City of Eugene, and that the $50.00
<br /> down payment and all subsequent payments shall be deposited with the
<br /> City Treasurer of said City.

<br /> . WHEREAS THE CITY OF EUGENE is the ,owner of Block "C" Mart in's Addition,
<br /> known as No.7, Madison Street in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Ore-

<br /> WHEREAS THE.....CTTY OF EUGENE has caused the same to be appraised and de-
<br /> termined it~ value, and
<br /> WHEREAS Charles E. Boyd has offered the city $625.00 for said property,
<br /> which according to the appraisement is all that the property is worth,
<br /> NOVV THEREFORE.
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Cornmon Council of the City of Eugene that the
<br /> Mayor and Recorder be and they are hereby directed to enter into the
<br /> annexed contract on behalf of the City of Eugene, and that the $50.00
<br /> down payment and all subsequent payments shall be deposited with the
<br /> City Treasurer of said city.
<br /> It was reported that in consideration of the privilege of making one sewer
<br /> connection, Delbert E. Johnson and Leona Johnson have granted unto the city of
<br /> '. , Eugene the right to lay and construct over the following described real property,
<br /> \ 32 to-wit: Lot 35, Foster's Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. This was approved.
<br /> An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 7753, entitled "An ordinance prohibiting
<br /> the cutting of curbs, etc.1I passed by the Common Council and approved by the Mayor
<br /> , March 24, 1930, by p~rmitting ~ curb cut in excess of the prOVisions of the ordi-
<br /> nance on the West side of Willamette Street between 4th and 5th Str~ets, was read
<br /> I the first time and passed to its second and third readings by unanimous cohsent
<br /> of the council by title under suspension of the rule. The ayes and nays were
<br /> called;' Councilmen voting aye: 'Lamb, Reid, Page, Hanns, Farrington, Bond and
<br /> Carlson; nay, none; absent, Hendershott. The ordinance was declared passed and
<br /> 33 numbered 8527.
<br /> (34 The council granted refund of $2.00 to Bahling Roofing CornpanY,for duplica-
<br /> tion on building permit.
<br /> II The council approved transfer of Package Store Class "Bn License from O. H.
<br /> \ 35 Bray (Bray Brothers) to Weber and Swartz, grocers, located at 327 High Street, Euge e.
<br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor and 'Recorder to assign to Title Abstract
<br /> Company the certificate of sale of real property on foreclosure for municipal liens
<br /> on Lot 6, Block 15, College Hill Park Addition on consideration of $57.87 was re-
<br /> f 36 ferred to the Finance Committee.
<br /> At this time bids were opened on the fence requirements for the deer and elk
<br /> pens. The two received were from Babb's Hardware and Western Fence and Wire Works,
<br /> Portland. Selection of the successful bidder was left at the disposal of the Park
<br /> ( 37 Committee.
