Calkins <br />City' Attorney <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />.An ordinance ordering a special election for submitting to the electors of <br />the Qity of Eugene, Oregon, at such special election to be held on Friday, the 20th <br />day of May, 1938, the following proposed amendments to the Charter of the City of <br />Eugene, referred to the electors of said city by the Common Council for their ap- <br />proval or rejection, and providing for polling places and for the appointment and <br />adoption of the JUdges and Clerks of the election, and all acts necessary for the <br />carrying on of the said election, and declaring an emergency, was read the first <br />time and passed to its second and third readings by unanimous consent .of the council <br />under suspension of the rule and was placed for final passage. The ayes and nays <br />were called, councilmen voting aye: Hendershott, Reid, Page, Hanns, Farrington, Bond <br />and Carlson; nay, none; absent, Lamb.
