After a thorough discussion in which <br />the majority of councilmen expressed disapproval of the application of Civil Service in the present <br />departments of the administration, the final vote on the proposed measure stood as follows: Aye: <br />Lamb, Hanns and Bond; nay; Hendershott, Reid, Page and Farrington. Hence, the resolution asking tha <br />the electorate be allowed to vote on civil service for -the employees ot' the street department, was <br />voted down four to three. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />52 <br />, <br /> <br />Report to the Counoil from the Eugene Wrestling am Boxing Conmussion on the reoeipts for <br />the year 1937 was presented.
