O'Neel and J.M. Hall Lots 7 and 8, Block 11, Hendrick's Amended Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, at a purchase price of $1350.00 and WHEREAS, J. M. Hall has assigned his interest in the contract to Ramey W. Rugh and at this time Ramey W. Rugh and E.C. O~Neel and Maxia L. O'Neel, husband and wife, have applied to the city that a new cQntract be drawn from the city to E.C. O'Neel and Maxia L. O'Neel, husband and wife, an undivided one-half interest, and Ramey W. Rugh, a single person, an undivi.ded one-half interest" and have computed the amount still due on the contract at $413.53 with interest from February 4, 1939. I' , \< c c..v" I NOW THEREFORE, BE I'l' RESOLVEID, that the Mayor and the Record,er. be and they are hereby directed to execute the sUbsequent contract, a copy of which is hereto. attached, and deliver the same to E.C. O'Neel and Maxia L. O'Neel, husband and wife, and to Ramey W. Rugh upon their filing with the city a written application for such substitution and them- selves execu;ting the attached contract. P;et! t! on r'equesting the e stabl! shment of a one -hour parking limit on West 6th Street between Olive and Charnelton, was re~erred to the Police 29 Committee for consideration. I Resolution expressing the regrets of the council in the un- 30 timely death of Dale Cron~r, fireman, was adopted upon motion made and seconded. 1 RES 0 L UTI 0 N WHEREAS, Dale F.. Croner pi. ssed away on February 15, 1939" and W~REAS, at the time of his departure he was and had been for many years a trusted am,d faithful employee of the City of Eugene, and was held in high regard and respect by all who knew him, I NOW THEREFORE, BE it resolved by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of Eugene that while we accept the decree of a Supreme Power~ yet do we deplore the loss.of a valued employee~ a citizen of.outstanding worth. That we extend to his family our sincere sympathy and that this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and a copy forwarded to the family of the depa~ted one. Robert, A. Holland, highest in rank on the fire department eligible list; was appointed by Mayor Large to fill the vacancy created by the death of Dale Croner, effective March 15, 1939 at a salary of $100.00 per month. ;31 This appointment was duly confirmed by members of the council. I Joe Harrell's request for more hangars at the airport was,re- 'I' ferred to the Finance Committee for consideration. Mr. Harrell stated that the rent 1 fee collected for the use'of the hangars could be made to pay for the city's cost of )32; construction. Meeting was herewith adjourned. C. M.
