The report was ordered placed on file. <br /> <br />~.....,~~ <br /> <br />29/ <br /> <br />30 -- <br /> <br />The Ci ty Recorder presented a copy of the sewage dispos al statement which <br />had been prepared oy the Judiciary Commi ttee and a copy maiiled to the various water- <br />users living outside the city limits taking water from the City of Eugene. The <br />statement was approved and ordered placed on file. <br /> <br />The monthly reports for the month of May, 1939, from the offices of the <br />Englneer.s Department, Police Matron and the Eugene Public Library were presented <br />31 ./' and ordered placed on file. <br /> <br />The City Recorder ~esented the proposed airport contract between the City <br />of Eugene and Joseph Harrell and Mammie Helle Z-umwalt. After a discussion on the <br />32 ~ matter motion was made and seconded that the contract be issued as presented. <br /> <br />Upon further discussion the construction of additional buildings at the <br />airport for waiting room facilities in the amount of ~500.00 to $550.00 was ordered, <br />33 / the money to be expended from the emergency fund. - <br /> <br />The Ordinance amending ~ection 8 of Ordinance No. 7709, an Ordinance <br />regulating the use, conduct and control of vehicles upon the streets and. alleys of <br />the City of Eugene, and prescrioing penalties for the violation thereof, which had <br />its first reading at the council meeting of May 22, was presented for its second rea inE <br />34~ and held to the next meeting of the council for its third reading. <br /> <br />An Ordinance fixing office hours of all city offices in the City of Eugen <br />which had its f~st reading at the council meeting held on May 22, was presented to <br />the council. It had its second reading and under suspension of the rules was placed <br />for its third reading by title by unanimous consent of the council and was p~ced <br />for final reading. The ayes were called, councilmen voting aye:- Lamb, Reid, Bond, <br />Carlson, Farrington, Hanns, Page and Koppe, nay: none; absent~ none. Mosner, the request was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />The City H.ecorder was 1nstructed to s1gn necessary papers from tne <br />38/ Federal UoverI~ent concerning various beacon sites controlled by the City of Eugene. <br /> <br />The Recorder was also instructed to sign all papers in accordance with <br />various park projects as long as the amounts conformed with the 1939 budget and it <br />was so ordered. <br /> <br />39 <br /> <br />Resolution was presented to have the contract for the defense of the case of Florence <br />.'IHaridsaker against the City of Eugene, conducted by L.
