<br /> Mayor Large requested that the Police Department of ~ne ~lty of E~ene
<br /> , conduct a cheCk of the aperations of the ambulances within the City of Eugene to

<br /> Mayor Large announced the appointment of A, H. Stafford, newly elected
<br /> member of the School Board, to succeed V. P. Morris on the Playground Commission;
<br /> the appointment to be for a four year term and effective at once. Upon'IDotion made
<br /> 16 and seconded the appointment was approved.
<br /> Councilman Farrington, Chairman of the Finance Committee, presented
<br /> communication from the Finance Committee to the 'Eugene Real Estate Bc:a rd, stating
<br /> that the follOWing property had been removed from the market and was not for sale:

<br /> Communication was presented. from S. M. Calkins stating that in compliance
<br /> with the request to instigate condemnation proceedings of the building at 952 West
<br /> Broadway, the same had been ins~cted by the City Engineer, Chief of Police and the
<br /> ~ City Attorney and it was determined that said building was in too good condition
<br /> 19 to be legally condemned.

<br /> Communication wes presented from Mrs. Nora Wray asking for $50.00 damages
<br /> to cover hospital and oth~r expense as a result of a fall on Willamette Street cause
<br /> ~y a hole in the -sidewalk. The matter was referred to the Judiciary Committee and
<br /> ~pity Attorney for investigation with a request that they report at the next council
<br /> 20 meeting.

<br /> The traffic Ordinance which had its first reading on May 22, and its second
<br /> reading on June 12, was presented for its third and final reading. The ayes and
<br /> nays were called, councilmen vating aye: Reid, Bond, Carlson,Farrington, Hanns, Page,
<br /> ,./ 'and Koppe, Nay:- none; absent: Lamb. The ordinance was decla red passed and numbered

<br /> An Ordinance amending Section 19 and Section 18-C of Ordinance No. 8347 -I
<br /> ~ealing with electrical licenses was presented to the council. It had its first
<br /> ~eading and passed to its second and third reading by title under suspension of the
<br /> ~ules by unanimous consent of the council and was placed for final reading. The
<br /> ~yes and nays were called, councilmen voting aye: Reid, Bond, Carlson, Farr'ington,
<br /> ~Hanns, Page and Koppe; nay: none; absent: Lamb. The ordinance was declared passed --
