<br />A communication was presented from th~Board of Appeals revealing the request
<br />from Edith Gardiner, in behalf of a clien~asking for a permit to build a duplex
<br />residence on the north 106 feet of Lot 10, Block 6, Huddleston's Amended Addition.
<br />This lot is located on the west side of Madi.son Street just north of 13th Avenue
<br />and is across the street from the Woodrow Wilson Junior High School and in the
<br />Single-Family residence Zone. As a similar request on property in this same block
<br />has been denied, the Board recommends that this request be denied and upon motion
<br />~7- ade and seconded the recommendation was unanimously approved.

<br />The communication also presented a request from Basil T. Williams for a
<br />ermi t to move the Kaarhus Craft ,Shop from i-ts present location at 1796 13th Avenue
<br />!ast to the north ~ide of Lot 4, Blook 5~ Fairmount Addition, located on Moss
<br />treet between 13th and 14th Avenues, for tae purpose of aiding in the architectural
<br />ppearance of his contemplated new bakery bu,ilding. The Board recommends that this
<br />~equest be granted on condition that the consent of John Winstead, owner of the
<br />bext lot to the south be obtained, that the Bet back in that block be observed and
<br />~he exterior appearance of the building be improved. Upon motion made and duly
<br />28- econded the recommendation was unanimously approved.

<br />The Board of Appeals also received a reQuest Trom L. C. Scharpf for a permit I
<br />o erect a residence on the lot at the southwest corner of the intersection of
<br />~potter Street and Twenty-second Avenue with a set back of thirty feet on Twenty- .
<br />econd Avenue and a set back of twenty-four feet on Potter Street. The Board,
<br />,onsidering the reading of the deed restriction on this lot, would recommend that
<br />~he City Council establish a set back of twenty-four feet on the west side of
<br />totter Street from Twenty-second Avenue to Twenty-third Avenue. Upon motion made
<br />29/~nd seconded the recommendation was unanimously approved.

<br />~nd the Engineer's Office were presented and ordered placed on file. The monthly
<br />Ileport on Sewage Disposal collections was presented from the Eugene Water Board
<br />j howing a collection for the month of November to be $1606.67, bringing the total
<br />30 'ollections as of November 30, to $15,840.59. The report was ordered placed on file.

<br />hearing, adopted a tentative report, ~nd ~o~vertec the same Into ~
<br />permanent and final report and resubml~teQ It to ~he Common ?ouncIl
<br />with the recommendation that the same be enacted lnto an ordInance,
<br />and the Council has prepared and given its first reading-of an ordin-
<br />ance enacting said permanent report. _
