'I'he Finance Committee recommended a counter offer of $750.00; 20% <br />dovm payment and upon the starting of the construction within 90 days, a refund of <br />$50.00. Morgan an~ Carroll Kennedy, <br />$437.49 cash for a strip of land 5.17 by 231 at the northeast corner of 11th Avenue <br />and Chambers Street vms presented. It was the recommendation of the Finance Con.uni tt ee <br />tha t ,a counter offer be extended as follows: Purchase ~ri ce: ~~400. 00; Taxes ~t12. 49 ; <br />and $25.00 for th~ city to quiet the title; ,a total of ~437.49; a subsequent contrac <br />between the parties whereby the purchaser agrees to deed back to the city free of <br />charge whatever part of this piece of property that might be needed in the event of <br />a future widening of 11th Avenue. Further that the Mayor and Rec~rder are hereby <br />instructed to execute necessary papers in the event of acceptance of this counter <br />offer. (Up6:htm6t'ion made and seconded the recommendation of the conmlitte <br />was unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> <br />31"" <br /> <br />Regarding the Walters-Bushong Lumber Company Street Problem: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />On High street: <br /> <br />Install a new screen on dust collector. <br />Close the chute in the shaving bin to prevent air from circulating <br />and blowing loose shavings and dust. <br />Concrete the runway from High Street to the bin. <br />Put heavy plank flooring inside the bin runway., <br />Shavings and dust must be cleaned out at least once each ,month. <br />Sawdust bin: <br />Plank the flooring same as in the shaving bin. <br />Clean out sawdust bin at least once each month. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />4th Street <br /> <br />4th Street to be properly graveled to the cur~ line; sj,ze and <br />amount of gravel to be determined by the Supt. of Streets. <br />As soon as the weather permits, the city is to oil the street <br />to at least two feet inside the curb line, this to be paid for <br />by the Walters-Bushong Lumber Company. <br />No lumber is to be stacked outside of the curb line. <br />The Superintendent of Streets shall inspect the above premises and <br />report his finding to the chairman of the Street Committee at <br />least once each month. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Upon ac ceptance of this recoommendat ion by the council it is <br />further desired that the City Recorder be instructed to transmit two copies <br />of this statement to the Walters Bushong Lumber Company with provision there n <br />for a signed acceptance of the above conditions; the 6riginal of said signed <br />statements be return~d to the office of the City Recorder. <br /> <br />It is further agreed and understood that this work is to be <br />completed within thirty days from the date of signing. <br /> <br />Acceptance: <br /> <br />/s/ Fred C.
